Advanced Search Builder

Last semester, I taught my freshman classes how to use Google advanced search. I wanted them to learn how to control and refine the results they get. Now, it’s a little bit easier. Google’s advanced search now show a real-time translation of your form-based inputs into a query. Simple, but effective. I think this will make the lesson a lot easier to teach next time, because students will be able to figure things out themselves more directly.
