MIT Inspirational Teacher Award

I’m honored to receive the 2011 MIT Inspirational Teacher Award based on work I did in the Middle East last summer. This morning I was just on a call to Jerusalem, helping instructors there manage student programming projects, and one of them told me that the news is posted on the MEET blog. My experience with MEET has genuinely been life-changing and I’m really happy to be working with them still. If you’re a CS grad student or teacher and you have the opportunity to participate, I highly recommend it. And the best news of all came this week as we learned that two students from last summer’s program were admitted to MIT!
